Around five in the evening on Sunday, I grabbed my camera and headphones and made my way into the woods. It was interesting to see the slow change into fall with mixed of greens, oranges, yellows and browns. I was out there for about an hour and twenty minutes, which just seemed to fly by. I learned when your shooting in such a shady area you really have to turn up your ISO and have to play around with the settings. In this photo I added more light into it and added some contrast. I played around with the highlights and shadows.

In this assignment we created a pop art picture in photoshop. The point of this assignment was how to use some tools in photoshop. Photoshop is very complicated for a new user and this assignment was suppose to show how to do some basic things. And it really did help! I learned a lot of things in photoshop! Like after cropping turn it off, it will cause problems! I used how to use the main menu to access and change things, It was cool to see how you can the color and much of the color you can change on a image.
I shot at two different places. The farm animals at the Colman Farm and then my backyard with the dogs. I liked the farm animals because they were very funny and natural, but I have to admit I liked shooting with the dogs and posing them. Although next time I will have to remember to bring treats to keep their attention. I was lucky with horse eating the apple picture. I went to just get a picture of the horse and just caught someone feeding it. I was lucky the apple was still visible! So what I did to this photo is turned it black and white. I thought it would give off more of a better mood if it was in b&w. For my first assignment I chose ANIMALS. What I found appealing to this topic is first off my love for them and second the options that come with it. You can pose them or just capture them doing things. You also get a bunch off different elements with different animals. What I hope to do with this assignment is get better at portraits with animals. What I like about the photos above is how it captures how the dog is. I want to get better at capturing authenticity and something that's real and not posed.
In this assignment we took pictures of the eleven elements of composition. What I learned in this assignment is research and planning are key. Have an idea about what you're doing. And look up an example and create a plan around what you want to do or you end up getting a bad picture, I know I experienced this problem. I also learned what composition elements I like and dislike. But bottom line is I learned a lot about each element and can learn from my mistakes and approve on successes!
A little about me, I am an animal person. I want to build a career in animal systems. I have two dogs. I love writing fictional stories. I like creating stories and I like adding that element to photography. I have a twin sister who looks exactly like me, even though we are completely different.
